Looks great, man. Congrats on the expo invite! Also, I see you been on NG a long time & sorta migrated away and then came back. Thanks for coming back.

Glad to be back!

When I went off to University I ended up being too busy for Newgrounds and then after this I started a game development studio in an attempt to turn my hobby into a job. We did reasonably well for a couple of years but the thing I learned was that at the end of the day the money just isn't there in game dev. However I still came away with this mind set drilled into me that anything I make should be profitable which meant I never actually made anything because this sapped the fun right out of it.

Through most of my 20s I thought I'd never make a game again, it was too much hassle I thought. But then a couple of years ago I had this realisation that no, you don't need to make money with games or even make games that are marketable. You just need to make the games that you want to make personally and then even if noone else likes it at least you had fun making it. Of course I like when my games find an audience, but I'm in a place where if they don't I'm ok with that too.

I'm finding that this is actually an approach that results in games people actually enjoy playing because theres no temptation to chase tired trends with this approach, and whilst fads come and go what people really want are original games with care and passion put into them.

I'm considering making a commercial game soon as well, however I will never leave Newgrounds again, and this commercial game will still have some kind of presence for on Newgrounds either as a demo or some other kind of limitation. But even if I do this I will still post original content here hopefully at the rate I do currently.

Ultimately I am back for good and I will only stop posting stuff to this site when either the site goes offline or I die, whichever comes first.
